Wow... this is a lot of work
Luckily, however, we have decided on a design. instead of a colony, we are looking at a whole habitat. Probably a huge tube about 300 miles long, with a diameter of about 30 miles. It will have a standard earth gravity of 1g or near that as it rotates. it will involve probably several cities, with all the needs and want for modern life, plus all the entertainment one could ever want or need. i will work on finalizing the design, and figuring the neccesary materials.

that is a swell idea. i think we should go a tad bit bigger tho.

that is a good idea and that we need to probably need to stay near mars because it will give us material and minerals that we need and if we need to resupply we will just go to earth and get it there but some things we can just go to mars or surrounding asteroids and moons will have

I like the design but the diameter should be a little larger. Plus we still need to find out how this thing is all gonna work and fit together. Maybe we could recycle air and water and as it flows to be recycled they rotate turbines to create electricity.
